Though bowls will be the featured item of this show, there will be hundreds of unique pieces throughout the gallery, studio, and on the front lawn. I will be introducing a line of jewelry and my "Stitched Series" which is getting national exposure, will be filling the gallery. There will be throwing demonstrations on the front lawn, and free refreshments. For every $50 spent you will receive a free mug (limit of 4), making now a great time to find a unique wedding present, gifts for friends and family, or maybe something special for yourself.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Demo Times: Friday, April 26th @ 2pm & 5pm,
Saturday, April 27th @ 11am, 2pm, & 5pm
Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. (908)237-0660
For medical reasons, I will have to temporarily close the studio for the months of May and June. Artwork will still be available for purchase, but I will not have regular shop hours. Sorry for the inconvenience, I hope to see you before then, and I look forward to returning the studio later in the summer.

American Craft Show NYC | Jacob Javits Center | Oct. 19•20•21 2012
I am thankful for the opportunity I had to display my "Stitched Series" in New York City. It was great exposure for my artwork, I met some other amazing artists, and got to visit again with some artists I had met in Boston. I was also privileged to meet a couple of collectors from Australia who each bought a piece, making me officially internationally known, and was approached by the owner of a gallery in Shanghai, China who is very interested in my artwork and thinks it will be well received there.
~A special thanks to my loving husband who helped me set up and has supported me every step of the way, those of my family who were able to come out and support me, and my friend Heather for helping me break down, pack up, and kept me laughing.

Thank you to all who aided in making the
1000 (One-of-a-Kind) Mug Show & Sale a success.
I will continue selling the remaining mugs for the same promotional price $20 each (includes NJ Sales Tax).
Spotlight Hunterdon covered the show.
1000 (One-of-a-Kind) Mugs
August 3rd & 4th ~ 10am-6pm
I have been working diligently to make 1000 one-of-a-kind
mugs in order to present them in a truly unique event on the front lawn of my
studio. All 1000, high quality, handmade
mugs will be displayed and sold for the promotional price of $18.69 ($20 even
with NJ sales tax) in order to bring attention to my presence in the community,
and to raise the much needed funds to support my ability to continue to create
and share the medium I love so much with others.
The past year has been an exciting one at the studio as I
have been able use my hands for the purpose for which I believe they were
created. I have grown as an artist and have
begun to get national attention for my “Stitched Series”. I am thankful for the opportunity to debut
this original series in Boston, MA back in March, and look forward to two large
shows in New York City and Chicago after my show and sale of the 1000 mugs.
Please come out and enjoy this vast array of mugs and help
me continue grow as an artist and support the importance of high quality craft
in our day to day lives. I feel very
confident there will be a mug or two you fall in love with for yourself, and
maybe even others that would be perfect for someone else. If you are unable to make it out to the show
and would however like one or more mugs, I will be filling orders in a grab-bag manner. I have now set up a way for you to order mugs online for the same overall price as
they are being sold for at the studio, and I will ship them anywhere in the
continental United States. The grab-bag
comes into play due to the difficulty in cataloging that many mugs, but brings
an exciting element as the purchaser will be able to indicate size and color preferences,
and I will hand pick mugs and send them out to be revealed upon arrival.
There will be more than mugs at the studio on August 3rd
and 4th. Please join us for throwing
demos and cold drinks, as well as 10% off everything in the studio
with the purchase of a mug. If you have any questions, please call me at
(908) 237-0660. I look forward to seeing at the studio.
Sincerely,
Anna

In March I had the opportunity to share my artwork to a
wide audience at CraftBOSTON Spring, held at the Seaport World
Trade Center in Boston, MA. Artist from
across the country were there to present and sell their work in a variety of
mediums. I was thankful for the chance
to present my Stitched Series, and to
share my artwork alongside so many talented artisans.
The response to my work was purely positive with many
audible “wows” and the ever truthful widening of the eyes when people stopped
to take a closer look at what was happening within the pieces. People were able to recognize the uniqueness
of the work, and the effort I have made to push the envelope within my use of
clay. It was really encouraging to have
so many take an interest in my work, both among the artist presenting there and
those that attended the show.
I am looking forward to presenting my work at more shows of
this nature. It is exciting to create
artwork that daily challenges me and continues to push our thinking about
ceramics.

CraftBOSTON -
March 22-25, 2012
This March I
will be heading to Boston, MA with pieces from my Stitched Series. My work has
been selected for CraftBoston Spring
at the Seaport World Trade Center, March 23-25, 2012. This is one of the nation’s premiere shows
for the exhibition and sale of contemporary fine art, craft, and design. Artists from all over the country will be
presenting their work in this highly publicized event hosted by the Society of
Arts and Crafts.
I am excited
for the opportunity to share my work on such a grand scale. I have been working diligently to create all
new work for this show; work that I hope will out shine the pieces I
originally applied with last fall. The
“stitching” continues to get more complex and the forms more refined. The glaze used on these new pieces hides
nothing, but exposes the clay and its form with exaggerated clarity. I just added several of the new pieces that I
will be bringing with me to the Stitched Series album on the Current Work page,
and more will be added over the next month or so as I prepare to head to Boston.
There is a
huge amount of work that goes into preparing for a show on this scale. It has been keeping me amazingly busy, but is
coming together piece by piece. One of
my pieces appeared in the February/March issue of American Craft, along with the work of some other artist in an
advertisement for the show.
I look
forward to writing a review of the show and showing some pictures of the
exhibit down the line. I want to extend
a heartfelt Thank You, to everyone
who has been encouraging to me as an artist and in preparation of this
show. And a special Thank You, to my loving husband, who has been my greatest sounding
board, buckler, and patron; I couldn’t do any of this without you.
